Wiki Offline — A Wikipedia Experience App Reviews

This is a very handy app and does a wonderful job of giving you all of the info offline and its faster than using wiki online since it has all of the data locally. Also, the developer got back to me almost immediately when I had a question. However, it is still just a bit pricey. Ten dollars is still a bit steep for a program that reads a file downloaded from wikipedia.

When offline, and opening a link or searching and opening a page, that page first renders the title and nothing else. After hitting Command-Shift-U, opening up my history, and clicking the article I was currently viewing, the article would completely render. Any ideas why this is? Kind of annoying, but didnt impact the experience too much.

Im constantly on Wikipedia learning new things. This app makes it incredibly easy. Well worth it. 1 change…Ive already reviewed it. Please make the app stop asking for a review.

After updating to the new version, this app crashes all the time.Its only use is to exercise your patience.

I love Wiki Offline. I use it all the time. But now, after this stupid update, it wont even open. It crashes every time and just will not work. Considering how much I use it and paid for it I am not a happy customer. Fix this please.

Just like everyone else, the new update does not work. It crashes EVERY time. I cant open it.

This is terrible - This app worked before 1.53, though it crashed *always* within 10 minutes of use. However 1.53 (the latest version) does NOT START AT ALL!! The developer has even stated dont download the latest version, wait for 1.54. PLEASE PROVIDE THIS FIX, AS YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT EVEN START. This is among the lowest quality applications Ive ever paid for. Very unsatisfied now...

What the H-E-double hockey sticks happened to this app? Its crashing ALL of the time. Actually… It doesnt even "crash" because in order for something to "crash" itd have to be in motion correct? This doesnt even start up anymore. #WackLikeCrack

waste money + time (again and again). Dont they test before they release the new version? What kind of developer are they? i bought this because i dont have internet connection all the time in my home. Now i have to download 4GB of data again and again?

crashes while clicking on an image in the article.. but overall, its quite good considering the benefits of an offline wikipedia that you can carry with yourself. nice idea, can be made better. One more thing, it somehow doesnt look native on a Mac. Do something about the icons and sidebar. Try something similar to Finder in Mac. Just a suggestion. I would love a cleaner/leaner look.

This is a great application and I use it a lot. However if you work through or use a proxy you are out of luck as it will not allow you to connect to the internet or get any updates of the article. But just for off-line viewing it is good. If this was fixed I would give 5 starts.

I cant say enough how much I appreciate this app! The information is on my local computer if I need it and the interface is even better than the site. I never have trouble looking up a subject and getting some knowledge. Great Job!

All entries beginning with the letter N and below cause the app to shut down.

It may not intended like that, but I felt you own the content and would like to charge users for content created by the Internet and other people. I would rather pay more for the app itself than spending as a IAP.. I wonder did you pay Wikipedia in the first place?

No problems downloading it. Customer service was excellent. Actually the owner was e-mailing me several times when I asked for some help. The layout is easy to read, and the option for updates is good. Recommended.

I love this program and it keeps getting better with the updates! One thing that I love which is the purpose of the program is that one can view all of wikipedia without the need for internet! Keep up the great work! I love the program!

Bought both wikibot and wikioff line at a discount. Now I Know why they were discounted the app downloaded to my hard drive and not my apps have been unable to load it onto my iPad. Worthless do not waste your money!
